The Department of Computer Science was established in year 2004 with an endeavour to uplift and introduce the society with new face of technological age. The department aims to provide sufficient learning in basic concepts of Computer Science, Computer Hardware & Software, Programming Concepts and Application. The department works together with the department of Mathematics, Statistics under the banner of Mathematical Sciences formed in 2004 to increase the quality strength of students.

Departmental Facilities
- Departmental Library: The Department has a good stock of books in its own departmental library. The library also has a collection of news magazines, journals in addition to Main Library stock of about 600 books related to prescribed syllabus and other allied areas of the subject.
- Departmental Laboratory: The department has a well equipped 2(two) computer laboratories for the benefit of its students for practical classes. The laboratory comprises of good number of Pentium machines with Operating System as Win 9x, XP, Linux. It has a LAN connection using HUB/Switch with 2 (two) Online UPS for better co-ordination among the user of the machines.
